Trade School Scholarship Program
Fund a scholarship program for Haitian students to attend trade schools in Haiti.
Specifics
The program will offer students the ability to study at trade schools and train for careers as electricians, plumbers, agronomists, nurses, masons, mechanics, seamstresses and cooks. After graduating, this would allow them to find work opportunities in their own communities, providing needed skills and services and supporting themselves and their families.

“This scholarship program is the best blessing I could receive for the years 2025-2026...because it helps me to learn what I couldn’t afford... If tomorrow my life changes I will be able to help more and more people, especially the young people through education...”

Sponsorship
We are looking for partners to commit to 1 to 4 years supporting a student through their training.
We are creating more opportunities for students to build competence and have meaningful careers. We will match each donor with a student, creating a relationship which consists not only of financial backing but also encouragement and support. We will facilitate the connection by providing updates from students to you as they progress.
One Year Programs - $500 annually

Past Success Stories
With an emphasis on respect, honor, and integrity, we deeply value helping students achieve their professional goals. One such example is Jimmy Cesar. Initially a student in our primary school, we supported him through secondary school. From there, he successfully completed dental school and is returning to the village to care for the dental health of his community. (Sponsor: David Schwartz)
Another student from our primary school, Benoit Profelus, is an artist who always aspired to teach his craft. We recently built an art school and studio where Benoit is pursuing his dream, teaching children and teens how to paint, while also creating a safe place for young people to learn and gain a sense of accomplishment. (Sponsors: Kay and Philip Metres and Walden, NY Rotary Club)

Christine Toussaint
“Hello everyone, hello DG, hello Pere Wildaine. I am Christine Toussaint. I am from Gros-Morne, in the locality of Treille. My parents have 11 children, one passed away, and there are 6 girls and 4 boys. My dad passed away. My mom is still in the mountain of Treille farming to take care of us. Nothing else in the mountain to do. I am happy to be part of the project. We know that there is no way to pay for this program, but we know that God will be on your side.”
Joseph Evens
“Good morning, I am Joseph Evens. I am from L’Acul, locality of Beaudois. I live in Gonaives now. I have one sister and four brothers. My parents are alive. With the insecurity that takes over the country, life is more difficult. Our parents can’t evacuate to their activities like the Madan Sara who can’t go sell the products in Port-au-Prince. No transportation. Those who have possibly left Haiti went to other countries. The impact that situation created on me is to be more resilient. To resist that situation, I use music as my passion and soccer. With great pleasure I receive the trade school scholarship to learn a profession that will bring a better life to me tomorrow. When my situation changes, I will use my capacity to help the other young people as I was supported by the project in trade school or college.”
Deliane Jean Pierre
Good morning, good afternoon. My name is Deliane Jean Pierre, I am 27 years old. I am from Treille. I am from a family of 11 children, 4 boys and 7 girls. My parents are both alive. Unfortunately I don’t grow up with them. The situation of the country is very difficult, and the fact that I don’t grow up with my parents makes my life more difficult. I will never give up because I have a dream. This situation of the country have urged impact on my dream. In my age there are things that I’m supposed to do or to learn to be self-sufficient, but with the context of my country, I am very late for what I’m supposed to do for my own life. I think that has a bad impact on my life. To resist, I learned some little skills that help me a little bit to respond to my needs. Sometimes, some close family gives me some little help. This scholarship program is the best blessing I could receive for the years 2025-2026. I refer to it as a blessing because it helps me to learn what I couldn’t afford. A close family introduced me to the program. I say thank you to the staff for this extraordinary project that helps many young people like me who are in great need of having a skill to survive. If tomorrow my life changes I will be able to help more and more people, especially the young people through education because I love education. That is all I want to say now as I have a lot to say.
Clairvoix Schneed
“Hello dear Andrew and dear Lila and all the team. I'm Clairvoix Schneed, daughter of Clairvoix Elsius. I'm a nursing student at Notre-Dame University in Gonaïves. I prepared this short video in order to thank you for your help in my studies. I pray God to give you strength to continue to support me during my four study years. Thank you Lila, thank you Andrew.”
Julien Sheldin
“Good afternoon DG. How are you? Hope you are well. I am Julien Sheldin, I am from the 4th communal section of Gros-Morne, Beaumont (between Chermaitre and Molas). I have 5 sisters and 4 brothers. My parents are both alive. The situation in the country is not good for me. At my age I’m supposed to have the skill to be able to take care of myself, not to refer to my parents when I am in need. As there is a large distance from Gonaives to Beaumont, it takes time to receive something from the parents. I had a lot of dreams, but with the situation of the country, it is like there is no hope for me. Despite the pressure of life, I am now learning a profession to be able to take care of myself. It is with joy that I study with the support of the program. If my life changes, I will support the young people in their education and other aspects of their life as well as my family.”
